[STO] Dilithium Tracking 5/30/13

Steady as she goes! The Legacy of Romulus has launched over a week ago, and folks seem to be enjoying themselves. My friends are thrilled with the new content, but it seems the post-update jitters are still there with the servers. Hopefully they'll be fixed soon, so it'll be smooth sailing from here on out

Z:D rates have a nice little swing to them, but its not wild. Trading volumes went down when LOR launched, which isn't surprising. After all, how many existing players have been itching to get their hands on a new KDF experience or to play as Romulans? But, it came back quickly. I'm a little surprised there's not more people trying to buy Zen, simply because there new ships and lockboxes look great.

Honestly, I'm at a loss at the moment, but chances are it'll be a while before we see more definite trends or anything. Until then, here's the rest of the data!

Cryptic/PWE just unveiled the latest lockbox for Star Trek Online: the Temporal Lock Box . Its time-travel themed, with all sorts of neat ships, consoles, etc., both to be won on random chance and via Lobi. You should really take a look - they're very cool looking . Now, given that Master Keys cost $1.25 each (well, less if you buy 10-packs), you might be hesitant to go after them. You might also be leery of the whole lockbox scheme. And, that's understandable. Goodness knows Pavlovian responses aren't limited to just dogs! So, how to play without paying...?

[STO] PVP as War, PVP as Sport.

In the middle of last year, I read a little on a thread about "Combat as Sport versus Combat as War." It was referencing a very long opinion post for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (currently in development). Intriguing as it was, though, is was concerning a tabletop role-playing game. Could it offer anything worth noting about Star Trek Online's PVP? I think so.

Testing from Word 2013!

Let's see how this works! I've been meaning to do this for a while, as my Surface RT has Office 2013, but not Windows Live Writer. And, frankly, I don't always like using the web interface. I'm debating moving over to Word Press, just so I can learn it better, but we'll see.
