Well, it looks like the good times of September are over with, at least for now! image

Well, the daily movement seems to follow the same general flow – peaking on Thursdays, with the rest of the week cycling off of that.

Was September an anomaly? Maybe? It could also be that Fleets are slowing down their Dilithium purchasing, reaching other bottlenecks with their Fleet Starbase, or are getting more efficient at obtaining Dilithium on their own.

Now, what to make of THIS? Hmm... Okay, honestly, I’ve been collecting this data without a clear idea of how to use it. The left side has the top 5 rates to buy Zen. The right side has the top 5 rates to buy Dilithium. I’ll have to study a bit more on how to make this pool of data more useful.

[STO] PVP as War, PVP as Sport.

In the middle of last year, I read a little on a thread about "Combat as Sport versus Combat as War." It was referencing a very long opinion post for Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (currently in development). Intriguing as it was, though, is was concerning a tabletop role-playing game. Could it offer anything worth noting about Star Trek Online's PVP? I think so.

[STO] Dilithium Tracker 5/9/13

Won't be long until The Legacy of Romulus is upon us. Moreover, Star Trek: Into Darkness is staring down upon us. All in all, I'd say its great month for Star Trek fans. In the meantime, Star Trek Online is continuing on, the economy is still going along, and Neverwinter (now in open beta) is showing a brand new economy as it tries to find its legs.

[STO] Master Keys without spending a dime.

Cryptic/PWE just unveiled the latest lockbox for Star Trek Online: the Temporal Lock Box . Its time-travel themed, with all sorts of neat ships, consoles, etc., both to be won on random chance and via Lobi. You should really take a look - they're very cool looking . Now, given that Master Keys cost $1.25 each (well, less if you buy 10-packs), you might be hesitant to go after them. You might also be leery of the whole lockbox scheme. And, that's understandable. Goodness knows Pavlovian responses aren't limited to just dogs! So, how to play without paying...?
